Your mission

The Head of Legal at Johnson Hana will play a pivotal role in Johnson Hana’s ambitious growth plans over the coming years. We are looking for an experienced Head of Legal to partner with Leadership on our Commercial Strategy, steer our product offering to add immense value to in-house legal teams, be a senior voice within our largest clients & run our Legal Solutions function. This person will also guide Johnson Hana on Strategic Legal matters that arise in the day-to-day operations of the company. It is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join a fast-growing company, be the most senior Legal representative, and have an outsized impact on the success of Johnson Hana.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the executive team to provide input on business strategy, encompassing areas such product offering, international market expansion, business operations, and market strategy.
Manage and support the legal solutions team, ensuring the team is supported and a high standard of legal solutions are delivered.
Develop new legal products/services based on market research and client needs, including business case development, product design, delivery planning, risk assessment, and targeted business development.
Drive team performance by further developing the skillset of current team members and expanding the team where necessary to scale with company growth.
Support the sales team as a technical expert on key New Logo deals and Tier 1 existing Clients, actively participating in pricing, sales pitches, and business development where required.
Analyse and enhance existing products, identifying efficiency opportunities, and working with the delivery team to implement improvements.
Advise the business on internal legal and compliance requirements to ensure adherence to legal standards.
Monitor market trends in alternative legal services, data review, artificial intelligence, and related software to identify new business opportunities.
Leverage your personal network to promote Johnson Hana.

Your profile

Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 15 years' PQE, with several years of experience managing and scaling in-house legal teams.
Experience in the Tech industry would be a distinct advantage.
A People centric leader who knows how to get the best out of a team and drive performance.
A commercially minded individual who excels in a performance-driven environment.
An experienced presenter who can comfortably pitch a product or solution to the buyers of our product.
A solution focused mindset with an ability to build solutions to complex problems and articulate these solutions in a way that anyone can understand.
