Your mission
As the Commercial Account Manager at Johnson Hana, your primary goal is to own and grow a defined portfolio of existing client accounts. You will be responsible for deepening relationships, identifying and solving client challenges in partnership with Legal Directors, and driving revenue growth through account extensions and additional services. This is a high-impact role with direct accountability for both retention and growth.
You will act as the day-to-day relationship owner for your accounts, embedding yourself in your clients' businesses to understand their needs, unlock new opportunities, and position Johnson Hana as a trusted, long-term partner. Your success will be measured by your ability to retain accounts, expand service lines, and deliver meaningful client outcomes in collaboration with internal teams. Ideally, you will have direct experience in a legal account management role and bring a competitive edge from having worked with or for one of our market peers.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the strategic growth of key enterprise clients with full responsibility for revenue growth across the portfolio.
- Deliver and exceed revenue targets by driving client growth, maintaining 100% retention, and expanding services with a key focus on MLS (Managed Legal Services) offerings.
- Partner with Legal Directors to proactively identify client challenges and recommend tailored solutions that drive strategic impact.
- Lead contract renewal and expansion discussions, managing multiple stakeholders and decision-makers to secure long-term engagements.
- Develop strategic, senior-level relationships with client stakeholders including GCs and senior legal operations leaders.
- Translate client business objectives into actionable strategies, working closely with delivery, talent, and commercial teams to ensure successful execution.
- Maintain a clear and accurate 12-month pipeline across your account base to support internal forecasting and planning.
- Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activities, and Johnson Hana’s evolving capabilities to ensure clients receive best-in-class advice and solutions.
