Your mission
As a Legal Director at Johnson Hana, you will be a senior legal professional bringing deep expertise, strong commercial instincts, and a client-first mindset to our Legal Solutions team. You will play a critical role in bridging legal expertise with commercial value creation by working closely with Account Managers to understand client needs and translate them into tailored, scalable legal solutions.
You will oversee the successful deployment of legal secondees, drive the transformation of secondment engagements into larger managed legal services, and design innovative delivery models that address client pain points using Johnson Hana’s core offerings. Ideally, you are a former in-house counsel from a tech company, bringing both legal depth and strategic vision to scale service delivery.
You’ll also champion consultant engagement, develop legal tools to support delivery, and contribute to a high-performing, solution-driven culture. Your leadership will help evolve the Legal Secondments product into a key pillar of Johnson Hana’s managed legal services strategy while cultivating strong client relationships and high-impact outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Account Managers to understand client needs and design tailored legal solutions aligned with Johnson Hana’s offerings.
- Lead the evolution of secondment engagements into scalable, managed legal service solutions that drive long-term client value.
- Act as the legal strategy partner during client sales cycles, leveraging your legal experience to shape and validate proposed solutions.
- Oversee the deployment of legal secondees and ensure high-quality delivery, serving as a key point of contact and escalation for legal and delivery-related queries.
- Build trusted advisor relationships with senior legal stakeholders in client organizations, acting as a bridge between legal and commercial priorities.
- Work closely with the talent team to identify and match the right consultants for engagements and influence recruitment priorities based on strategic needs.
- Regularly engage with consultants to gather feedback, support development, and surface client challenges and opportunities.
- Drive the creation and delivery of scalable legal operations solutions, tools, and processes to enhance delivery efficiency and consistency.
- Develop training initiatives to support consultant upskilling and mindset shift toward a legal consultancy approach.
- Champion a client-first mindset across engagements and contribute to internal initiatives that advance Johnson Hana’s legal solutions vision.
